This year, the “Endre Almássy Conference on Groundwater” was held for the 28th time, in which representatives of Hungarian groundwater organizations took part. The conference took place in Siófok, between 14-15 September 2022. The József Tóth and Erzsébet Endowed Hydrogeology Chair and Fundation was represented on this occasion by Anita Erőss and Petra Baják.
Anita Erőss spoke about the results of the research carried out by the research group in recent years, examining the radionuclide content of drinking water (Anita Erőss, Petra Baják, Katalin Hegedűs-Csondor, Bálint Izsák, Márta Vargha, Tamás Pándics, Ákos Horváth: The origin of the natural radioactivity of drinking water in light of the results of the most recent research).
Petra Baják, a 4-year PhD student, presented the latest results of her doctoral research (Petra Baják, Katalin Hegedűs-Csondor, András Csepregi, Anita Erőss: Investigation of the interconnection between Lake Velence and groundwater). In her presentation, she presented her results confirming that interconnection exists between Lake Velence and the groundwater.
Their presentations were delivered within the framework of the National Laboratory for Climate Change RRF-2.3.1-21-2022-00014 project.
