Members of the Hydrogeology Chair attended ISMAR11

The ISMAR11 (11th International Symposium on Managed Aquifer Recharge) international conference was held between April 11 and 15, 2022. The conference is organized every three years at different locations, this year it was held in Long Beach, California, USA.

The Hydrogeology Chair was represented by Zsóka Szabó (PhD student) and Ádám Tóth (assistant professor) with their presentations submitted to the conference.

Zsóka Szabó gave a lecture entitled “Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting by Shallow Well Infiltration – Challenges and Opportunities”, in which she presented the results of a one and a half year long experimental rooftop rainwater harvesting project related to her doctoral work.

In his presentation entitled “The use of regional groundwater flow characteristics for optimized screening of MAR potential and application conditions”, Ádám Tóth presented the importance of the basin concept in the optimization of MAR systems with his international co-authors (from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany).
