Judit Mádl-Szőnyi was invited to the Pátria Radio program, where she was asked by János Vasík on the occasion of World Water Day on March 22, 2022. In the conversation, among other things, the water supply of the Carpathian basin and the storage capacity of the aquifers were discussed. It is important to know that the system approach of groundwater have effect beyond our borders, as groundwater knows no borders. That is why, in addition to scientists, politicians and civilians alike must understand the importance and protection of these waters. The broadcast discussed the research activities of the chairs’s hydrogeologists, such as those supporting water management and aimed at retaining water surpluses (flash floods).
